Das Weihnachtsdorf Waldbreitbach begrüßt die Gäste ab 1. Advent mit seinen Attraktionen, wie dem schwimmenden Adventskranz auf der Wied, das überdimensionale Adventkalenderhaus, den lebensgroßen Holzfiguren und den leuchtenden Stern von Bethlehem über dem Ort.

In der kath. Pfarrkirche Maria Himmelfahrt ist die Naturwurzelkrippe aufgebaut. Einzelne Krippenszenen werden  in der Adventszeit nach der Liturgie dargestellt.

Am 2. und 3. Adventwochenende finden der Advents- bzw. Christkindchenmarkt samstags und sonntags statt.

Innerhalb der Ortschaft Waldbreitbach sind ca. 40 Krippen als kleiner Krippenweg aufgebaut. Auf Wunsch können Gruppen diesen geführt mit einem Wanderbegleiter laufen.

Das Krippenmuseum mit ca. 1700 Exponaten aus aller Welt hat täglich von 11 bis 18 Uhr  geöffnet.

Information und Service sind der Kern für Erfolg im Tourismus.

Hier setzt der „Mystery Check“ an, ein anonymer Test in rheinland-pfälzischen Tourismusbüros. Heute hat Wirtschaftsministerin Eveline Lemke die Sieger gekürt: Das „Büro für Tourismus Landau-Land in Leinsweiler erreichte den ersten Platz im „Mystery Check 2011“ für die beste touristische Beratungsqualität in Rheinland-Pfalz.

Die Tourist-Information Gerolsteiner Land in Gerolstein ist auf dem zweiten Platz und die Tourist-Information Urlaubsregion Thalfang am Erbeskopf in Thalfang auf dem dritten Platz im Wettbewerb.

Den 6. Platz unter 145 getesteten Touristikbüros erreichte der Touristikverband Wiedtal e.V. und ist damit wie 2006 Vorreiter der Servicequalität in dieser Region.

With the kayak on the way in the romantic Wiedtal

Kayaking on the romantic Wiedstrecke - especially for water sports enthusiasts (or those who want to become) a charming, interesting experience. Not only because of the varied route through the beautiful highlands of the Rhine-Westerwald nature park, but also for the reasons of service.

The Wied arises in the Westerwald Lake Plateau and flows for about 135 km at Neuwied in the Rhine. The navigable part from Döttesfeld till Altwied, with about 50 km through beautiful unspoilt countryside and runs without river obstruction. The partial current fleet and small surges do the kayak trip on the Wied to a memorable, unusual experience. However, since it is not at whitewater, especially beginners come fully after a short briefing at your expense.

We meet on 2 June and 23 October 2011 at 10.00 a.m clock at the car parking  at the tourist information, Neuwieder Straße 61 in  Waldbreitbach.

After the participants will be equipped, instruction in theory and practice, practical driving exercises before beginning "we go into the water." The tour takes place in all weather conditions in individual boats (robust WW boats, units) with a corresponding cold and wet weather gear instead, and is accompanied by a kayak instructor. The participants agreed on a special safty equipment.  During the tour they made a break on the banks of the Wied, bring with you your own food please.

The price is € 42.00 for adults and children from 12 years and € 36.00. Children under 12 years can be taken only after consultation.

Minimum number of 5 persons, max. 8 people
